We are thrilled to welcome Pastor Adam Arends as our new Transition Pastor at Good Shepherd!
Pastor Adam brings a wealth of experience and a heart full of passion for our mission. Growing up in Minnesota, he attended Wartburg College in Iowa, where he majored in English and religion and sang in the choir. After college, he dedicated several years to the Lutheran Volunteer Corps, working in Washington, D.C., and Minneapolis with organizations like Habitat for Humanity.
Adam’s journey took him to Buffalo, where he earned a master’s degree in English education and taught for several years. Feeling a deeper calling, he pursued pastoral ministry, inspired by conversations with friends and mentors. He completed his seminary education online through United Lutheran Seminary.
Join us in welcoming Pastor Adam and his wife, Kristen, and their two children Anna and Wes, to our community. We look forward to his guidance and leadership as we continue our mission together.
