The Good Shepherd Food Pantry is a distribution center inside our church that provides food—and dignity—directly to neighbors in need. Filled by parishioners and community partners, it is one way we live out Serve the Community.
Donations come from local organizations, individuals, and church members. We provide food directly to people living in nearby communities.

Use the elevator if you need accessible entry to the pantry level.
On many pantry Saturdays we also open our Clothing Closet, offering clothing and essentials for neighbors who need a hand.
On the fourth Saturday, a free breakfast is often offered and open to the community—another way we share table fellowship.
Real moments from pantry drives, distributions, and special giveaways.
Every gift of food or funds stocks shelves and strengthens neighbors.
Non-perishable items from parishioners and community members keep the pantry full. Drop-off details are available through the church office.
Online gifts support the pantry and related outreach. Special drives (including Thrivent Action Teams and partner grants) help us do even more at holidays.
Local organizations, schools, and neighbors have held food drives that benefit GSLC. We welcome partnership—reach out to plan a drive.
Share pantry hours and our service-area zip codes with neighbors who may need groceries or clothing. Awareness helps the right people find us on Saturday mornings.
The pantry is part of a wider social ministry that serves Tonawanda and beyond.
September–April. Our chowder ministry prepares chowder that supplies the food pantry and is sold to the community on the third Saturday of the month (prepared the day before). Lutheran Charities helped fund a new refrigerator and freezer for this ministry.
To order chowder, contact the church office at (716) 832-5390 or send a message.
At Easter and other seasons, partners such as Lutheran Charities of WNY, the Lutheran Foundation, and Thrivent have helped provide extras—like family hams and Easter baskets—for pantry guests.
Pantry and clothing work sit within our broader Social Ministry—programs that invite the congregation to serve the wider community. See the full picture on our Community page.
If you live in our service area and need groceries, come on a pantry Saturday. If you want to stock a shelf or give financially, we are grateful for your support.
Hours and special distributions can change around holidays—confirm on the events calendar or with the church office if you are unsure.
